Sundar Pichai will receive a package of Rs1718 crore ($242 million) annually after becoming the CEO of Alphabet. Pichai was recently named CEO of Google's parent company Alphabet. With this, Pichai's basic salary has been increased by 200 percent. The new salary package will come into effect from January 1, 2020.
20 million dollars will be the basic salary
Pichai will receive $2 million (Rs14.2 crore) as basic salary next year. At the same time, $24 million (Rs1704 crore) will be available as a stock option. Out of $24 million, $120 million stock award will be received in quarterly installments. In 2018, Pichai received a basic salary of Rs4.6 crore as Google CEO, now it has increased by 200 percent. In 2018, Pichai received a total salary of 19 million dollars (135 crore rupees). It had a basic salary of $6.5 million (Rs4.6 crore). According to Fox News, if Sundar Pichai works for 40 hours in a week, his hourly salary would be $2,25,961, which is about Rs1.60 crore.
Tim Cook and Satya Nadella are far ahead of Sundar Pichai
However, the salary and allowances that Sundar Pichai received were much lower than Apple CEO Tim Cook and Microsoft founder Satya Nadella. Tim Cook received Rs 957 crore in 2018 and Satya Nadella Rs 306 crore. At the same time, the highest salary allowance was given by Tesla CEO Elon Musk to the tune of Rs 3591 crore. Brenden Kennedy of Tilre received Rs1792 crore, Walt Disney's Bob Tiger got Rs1022 crore and Palo Alto Network's Nikesh Arora got Rs 910 crore.

Sundar Pichan is the real name of Sundar Pichai of Indian origin. He was born in Madurai (Tamil Nadu) in 1972, but grew up in Chennai. His mother Lakshmi was a stenographer and father Raghunath Pichai an electrical engineer.
